Residents are likely to soon see medical marijuana dispensaries in Citrus County.
On August 6, Inverness lifted its ban on dispensaries in the city.
Unless approved by city leaders, the dispensaries will not be able to operate within 500 feet of any school.
The city expects to start receiving dispensary applications very soon.
All marijuana dispensaries will be subject to the same permits and land development codes as Pharmacies.
